A Tree’s Second Christmas

ChristmasA Twelfth Night story about rejection and acceptance, suitable for all ages.

From A Tree’s Second Christmas:

“That big tree is lucky,” said a tree next to the little tree. “Soon it will have lights and decorations on it and everyone will say how beautiful it is.” “Is that what a Christmas tree is?” asked the little tree. “Yes,” said the other tree. “Being a Christmas tree is very special. But if no one buys us we will just be burned.” The little tree became very frightened. In the forest, fire was the only thing trees were afraid of. “I don’t want to be burned,” said the little tree.
